Welcome to The Glenelg Club, the perfect place for your next outing or event. 

Located at the picturesque Stratarama Stadium, home of The Glenelg Football Club, we offer a unique venue only minutes from the beach and 15 minutes from the city. We provide plenty of transport options for your convenience, including our free car park with a capacity of 150 cars, or the tram stops closeby. 

Bar & Bistro

Our bistro is complimented by our experienced chefs, outstanding service and professional approach. Our expertise will ensure that your dining experience will be tastefully enjoyable. Our bistro menu offers contemporary meals that will suit any palate.

Gaming Room

The Glenelg Club award-winning gaming room offers a great club atmosphere in a spacious and comfortable environment. We are one of the few venues which offers a choice of 36 gaming machines, with a great mixture of new machines as well as some of the old favourites.

HEAD CHEF

A unique opportunity exists for the right person! 

Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage a kitchen team and ensure that our food maintains the highest quality. 

Are you a Chef who:

• is passionate about the quality of food you produce.
• is wanting to build a reputation for high quality bistro food.
• can lead and inspire a team
• has excellent communication skills
• is commercially savvy and customer focused

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design menus that enhance our customers experience whilst maintaining high quality.
• Develop and maintain a contemporary menu relevant to our patron demographic.
• Ensure that all food preparation is in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain value for money produce.
• Design standardised food presentation guidelines for each dish.
• Monitor inventory levels of commonly used items.
• Look for ways to reduce spoilage of infrequently used items.
• Hire, train and manage staff about proper kitchen sanitization methods.
• Work closely with our Venue Manager to grow our Bistro patronage.

You must have:

• 5 years experience as a qualified Head Chef and/or similar role.
• Ability to track expenses and manage a budget.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF

Come and work at the Bay's Biggest Backyard! We're searching for front of house staff to assist with the day-to-day operations of The Glenelg Club bar and bistro. Award rates of pay applicable.

What we're looking for:

• Must have Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
• Strong work ethic
• Available for a variety of day and nights shifts across a 7-day roster
• Barista skills preferable
• Gaming room experience preferable
