You ask, and we’ll deliver! The Glenelg Club is the perfect place for your next event. We specialise in everything from work conferences and seminars to engagements, birthdays, wakes, fundraisers, club presentation nights, Christmas shows and more.

The Glenelg Club caters for all function types ranging from 15 to 120 people. We have a range of unique function rooms to choose from, including The President's Room, Oval Bar, Outdoor Alfresco and our newly refurbished Gleghorn Room.

Our dedicated staff can help in creating a memorable event according to your needs. Collaborate with our chefs, who are experienced in tailoring a unique, custom menu to your style.

The President’s Room upstairs is a classy location fitting for any cocktail function. The room includes a bar, tv screen and plenty of space for either small tables or a large dining table with seating – whichever is better suited to your needs!

Room capacity: 90 people (cocktail) or 60 people (seated)

The Gleghorn room is an intimate space perfect for your small private functions. Situated near the Bistro, you have easy access to the Bar and Glenelg Oval outside.  

Room capacity: 12 people

Soak in the stunning views of Glenelg Oval and enjoy brilliant company in our main Oval Bar & Bistro. Here in our main area, we’re flexible with your needs - you can book a table for 10, or hire the entire space, whatever your function requires.

Thank everyone so much who helped us organise our engagement party. We were so pleased with how the night went and we just had the best time.

All the staff were exceptional. As soon as we got there everything was set up ready, as we had previously discussed. We were offered help from multiple staff to set all of our extras up, which was amazing.

We would like to give a special thank you to Harry, who assisted us with setting up our speakers and microphone. He did this with no fuss and just knew what to do. He even organised extra cords etc to make it all easier for us, we did not have to lift a finger.

A HUGE thank you to Jake! He was so great the entire time. We met with him a few weeks before to discuss what we would like (set up, food, drinks, payment etc) and he was great with helping us understand the COVID restrictions as well. As soon as we got there, Jake was there to greet us and offered us help with absolutely anything we needed.

He was so polite, professional and kept up the communication with us all night. He let us know how the food was going, was able to bring over special dietary foods, kept us up to date with the tab, and was able to make changes as the night went on. He just made the night so easy for us, and we felt like we didn’t have to do anything.

The flexibility from all the staff was amazing; we asked for extra food, and the kitchen was able to whip this up with no issue at all. We also had multiple changes to the tab, and this was no problem to anyone.

We absolutely loved all the food, there were many compliments about how good it was. We also appreciated the flexibility with the food, in being able to order in other options that may not have been on the initial booking form. Being a coeliac myself, it was so great and comforting that I could also eat lots of the food that I was paying for (which doesn’t happen very often).

Towards the end of the night, we got a heads up when it was time to start wrapping it up etc, which was great because I had no clue what time it was! I went to go inside to start packing up, and the staff had already packed everything away for us. This was so amazing! We did not expect it, but it was so nice not to have to pack anything away at the end of the night (which is often the worst part).

We went back today (Sunday) to collect all our things, and everything was kept safely for us. The staff offered again if we would like any help with anything.

The place was also so clean, you wouldn’t have even known we were there the night before.

Overall the space was just beautiful and really appreciate all the hard work from everyone. It was such an amazing night and we are so happy with how everything went. We will definitely be recommending you for functions in the future!



I highly recommend The Glenelg Club after experiencing Melbourne Cup lunch with a group of ladies. The food and presentation was amazing! The staff were also amazing. We have had many a lunch and the food here exceeded.



It was a fantastic day and the team at The Glenelg Club showed they are more than capable in organising and delivering a 5 star experience. 

Head Chef Damien did an outstanding job in developing a degustation menu that was superb. Between courses he spoke about the food, where it came from and provided some information on the dish and what wine it would match with.
